Amazon Leo, formerly known as Project Kuiper, is a mega constellation of satellites in Low Earth Orbit that will offer broadband internet access, this constellation will be managed by Kuiper Systems LLC, a subsidiary of Amazon. This constellation is planned to be composed of 3,276 satellites. The satellites are projected to be placed in 98 orbital planes in three orbital layers, one at 590 km, 610 km and 630 km altitude. 29 satellites are carried on this launch.
Launch heading 46° · NE from Amazon Leo (LA-05).
Pre-launch TLEs from Dillon's Space Page. Estimated before flight — the real orbit is confirmed post-launch.
Limiting rule: No flight through cumulus cloud with top at or above the freezing level.
max cloud-top 5874 m above freezing 4544 m (97% cover in 10 nmi) · no GLM flashes within 25 nmi / 30 min, likely cirrus / stratiform ice rather than cumulus · max-top 5874 m, mean 5056 m, 97% cover, freezing 4544 m · METAR reports DISTANT lightning (beyond 10 SM, outside the LCC radius): "KCOF 270655Z AUTO 15004KT 10SM -DZ OVC150 26/23 A2996 RMK AO2 LTG DSNT SW-W RAE1"
