SiriusXM 11
Sirius Killed The Radio Star
More Radio For SiriusXM!
Another Satellite for SiriusXM will launch as early as late June!

SXM 11 will launch atop a SpaceX Falcon 9 from Cape Canaveral, Florida, where it will launch eastward over the Atlantic Ocean. The Booster will travel ~390 miles (627km) downrange and will land on the deck of SpaceX's Autonomous Spaceport Drone Ship "A Shortfall Of Gravitas".
Just after 8 minutes into the mission, the upper stage Merlin Vacuum engine will cut off, placing SXM 11 into a preliminary parking orbit. At T+26 minutes into flight, the upper-stage will then re-light the MVAC engine for 45 seconds, which will place the upper stage and payload into a ~200 x 20000km orbit.
As good stewards of Space, SpaceX will de-orbit the upper stage, re-entering Earth's atmosphere 6 hours after launch in the Eastern Pacific Ocean.
In the weeks following launch, SiriusXM will raise the orbit of SXM 11 to a Geostationary Orbit where it will enter service, aiding broadcast capabilities for North America.
